Simon Judes leads Winton's investment management and research activities and is a member of the firm’s executive management team.

Appointed CIO in 2020, Simon has overseen the expansion of Winton’s multi-strategy platform into a wider range of strategies, asset classes and trading frequencies. Simon has also led the design and development of Winton’s CTA strategies since taking over responsibility for the firm’s core macro models in 2016. Simon joined Winton as a researcher in 2008.

Simon has a first-class Honours degree in physics and philosophy from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in physics from Columbia University, with a thesis on string theory and cosmology.
