Alexandra Openshaw manages Winton’s in-house legal function and is responsible for providing legal, strategic and business counsel to the firm. She is a member of the firm’s executive management committee.

Alexandra returned to Winton to take up the position of General Counsel in 2025 from a London-based private equity fund where she had been general counsel since 2023.  Alexandra first joined Winton’s legal team in 2016 and spent seven years with the firm, including in the role of Deputy General Counsel. Her earlier career began in 2008 at Macfarlanes, where she joined the Investment Management group in 2010.

Alexandra holds a degree in history from Cambridge University.
