Winton inspires with Future Frontiers

The programme helps disadvantaged young people realise their potential.

Winton recently partnered with Future Frontiers. The programme is an award-winning education charity working with schools and businesses across the UK to deliver career coaching, advice and guidance. The goal is to equip lower-attaining, disadvantaged young people with the skills to realise their potential at school and take positive next steps into education or training at age 16.

Throughout June and July, 17 Winton employees each supported a Year 10 pupil from Drayton Manor High for a total of 6 hours coaching. During this period, our coaches provided these young people with an invaluable space to explore their interests, discover inspiring careers and plan for their next steps.

Before the programme began, just 45% of pupils believed they could choose a career that fits with what they’re good at, and 55% believed they would be able to find a career that inspired them. Winton’s volunteers helped increase this to 100% by the end of the coaching sessions.
