The Francis Crick Institute Officially Opens

It is a large-scale collaboration involving the Medical Research Council (MRC), Cancer Research UK, Wellcome, University College London, Imperial College London and King's College London.

Winton Philanthropies provided funding to establish the Winton Bioinformatics Suite which will house Professor Nicholas Luscombe and Dr Peter Van Loo, the Winton Group Leaders, along with other senior scientists and PhD students.

The facility was opened by Her Majesty The Queen on the 9th November.
